A wheel nut is typically made up of two main components: the nut and the threaded stud. The nut is a typically hexagonal-shaped device that is used to secure the wheel to the threaded stud. The threaded stud is a long, cylindrical metal rod with external threads that match the internal threads of the wheel nut. When the nut is threaded onto the stud and tightened, it creates a secure connection between the wheel and the hub.

There are many manufacturers of wheel nuts, including companies such as Gorilla Automotive, McGard, and Wheel Mate. These companies produce a wide range of wheel nuts in different sizes, materials, and configurations to suit various vehicle makes and models. Additionally, some manufacturers also offer locking wheel nuts, which include unique keys or patterns to deter theft of the vehicle's wheels.

What are they used for

A wheel nut is a type of fastener that is used to secure wheels onto vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles. It is typically made of metal and is threaded onto a wheel stud or axle to secure the wheel in place. Wheel nuts can be manufactured by a variety of companies, such as specialized wheel nut manufacturers, automotive parts suppliers, and manufacturers of vehicle components. These manufacturers use different materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control measures to produce wheel nuts that meet the specific requirements and standards of the automotive industry.

Manufacturing Process

The production process of Wheel nuts:

1. Steel stamping molding

2. Tapping (processing thread)

3. Heat treatment (general grade higher nut need heat treatment, low grade nut do not need heat treatment process)

4. After the above production process, the nut has been basically formed.

5. After the above steps, the nut also needs the last step of process ---- surface treatment (that is, to be processed into the surface treatment we require, such as blue and white zinc, color zinc, black, etc.)
